Build your best stage package without treating your physiology as disposable.

Aegis contest prep is built around the athlete in front of us: training response, digestion, recovery, health history, enhancement use, and the demands of the division. We are here to win. We simply refuse to confuse suffering with strategy.

The industry problem

Commitment has come to mean more. More drugs, more cardio, less food, more suffering.

Most athletes who come to Aegis have been coached that way. The result is a physique that looked good for one show and a body that paid for it for years.

The usual prep

How much can the athlete tolerate?

  • A template split and a macro prescription before anyone asks about your history.
  • Progress stalls: add cardio, cut food, add compounds. Repeat until the show.
  • Peak week run from a checklist, not from how your body has been responding.
  • Digestion, sleep, and bloodwork treated as noise rather than data.
  • Post-show: no plan, and a rebound nobody talks about.

Prep at Aegis

What does this athlete need to produce their best result?

  • A full intake: competition history, division, training age, diet history, digestion, sleep, stress, bloodwork, current enhancement use.
  • Progress stalls: the question is what changed and why, before anything is added or removed.
  • Peak week designed from the weeks of data before it, and adjusted daily.
  • Health markers tracked alongside conditioning, because one predicts how long the other lasts.
  • A reverse and off-season plan, so the next prep starts from a better place.

Aegis is not anti-PED. Aegis is anti-recklessness.

What coaching includes

Everything a serious prep needs. Nothing added for the sake of it.

What each athlete receives depends on their intake and their goals. This is the range.

How prep works

From first call to the stage, and back again.

Prep isn’t a countdown. It’s a loop that runs every week, with the plan changing when your body does.

Peak week is designed from the twelve weeks before it.
Peak week is designed from the twelve weeks before it.
  1. Before you startIntake and first conversation

Competition history, division, previous coaching, diet history, training history, digestion, sleep, stress, bloodwork, medications, and current enhancement use. We want to know what previous coaches never asked.

  2. Off-season / improvementBuild the base

Nutrition and training built around what the intake showed. Health markers brought to a place where prep won’t break them.

  3. PrepWeekly check-ins, weekly adjustments

Photos, weight, measurements, energy, sleep, recovery, adherence. Your coach records a video every week explaining what they see and what changes, and why.

  4. Final weeksPeak week, designed from your data

Water, sodium, carbohydrates, and training decided by how you’ve responded for the previous twelve weeks, not by a template. Adjusted daily. Show-day communication remote or in person.

  5. After the showReverse and next season

A plan for the weeks after the stage, so the next prep begins from a healthier, better-conditioned starting point.

The question is not how much you can tolerate. It’s what you require.

Better conditioning at higher food, with less cardio and less damage, is not a compromise. It’s what good coaching looks like.

Questions

Before you commit to a prep.

Do you work with enhanced athletes?

Yes. Aegis isn’t anti-PED; Aegis is anti-recklessness. Our role is education, honest risk, and coaching that never uses more compounds as a substitute for better coaching. The decision is always yours.

What does Athletics coaching cost?

Athletics coaching starts at $400 a month with a standard coach and $500+ with a senior coach. David’s coaching starts at $1,000 a month. Each coach’s starting price is on their page before you book anything.

Can my coach be at my show?

In-person and backstage support can be arranged with your coach. Travel, accommodation, and show tickets for coach attendance are paid separately by the athlete. International shows need more planning.

How far out should I start?

It depends where your body is. Many athletes benefit from an improvement or health phase before a prep begins. Your coach will tell you honestly on the first call.

I’ve had a bad experience with a coach. How is this different?

Ask us anything on the call, and ask to see the case studies. The short version: you’ll be told why every decision is made, your health markers will be tracked through prep, and the plan will change when your body does.
